A farmer is preparing to sell his land, and part of that means clearing out his barnyard... With his two trusty old workhorses and a noisy flock of chickens, he hitches his wagon and sets out down the town's main road. His plan? Simple - To every household where the man wears the pants, he'll leave a horse... To every household where the woman rules the roost, a chicken will be their prize. The first house he stops at, a gruff man answers the door. "Who's in charge here?" asks the farmer. "I am!" the man declares proudly, chest puffed out. The farmer nods and hands over a horse... At the next house, the farmer meets a woman with a steely gaze. "Who's in charge here?" asks the farmer. "Me," the woman says matter-of-factly. The farmer smiles, places a chicken in her arms, and tips his hat... This goes on house by house, until he reaches the last home on the street. In the front yard, a man and woman are working on a flowerbed... The farmer leans on his wagon and calls out, "Who's the boss around here?" "I am," the man replies confidently, brushing soil off his hands. The farmer gestures toward his horses, "I ve got a black horse and a brown one. Which one do you want?" The man scratches his head, "The black one." His wife snaps, "No, no, no. Take the brown one!... " "Here s your chicken," says the farmer.
