A well-known female senator and presidential candidate visits a primary school... The school gymnasium is packed with eager students, all squirming in their seats, ready to ask the kind of questions only children can think up. The senator begins her speech, enthusiastically talking about the world, the future, and how these kids will be the leaders of tomorrow... After the rousing speech, the candidate says, "Okay, children, it's now time for questions! Don’t be shy!" Instantly, a boy in the front row shoots his hand up with the energy of someone who’s been waiting his whole life for this moment... The senator beams and points to him, "Yes, young man, what’s your name?" The boy stands up and says, "My name is Kenneth." "Well, Kenneth, what’s your question?" asks the senator, leaning forward with an expression that suggests they’re ready for anything. Kenneth clears his throat and confidently asks, "I actually have three questions... " "First - Whatever happened to your medical health care plan?... " "Second - Why would you want to run for President after your husband embarrassed the office?... " "And third - Whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?" The gym falls silent... The teachers’ coffee cups freeze mid-sip, and the senator's face does a little twitch, like her smile might actually break in half. But before the candidate can even think of an answer, the school bell rings... "Alright, children!" the candidate says quickly, relief flooding her face, "It’s time for recess! We'll continue this right after!" The kids scramble out of their seats, happy to escape to the playground... Twenty minutes later, the kids are rounded up and herded back into the gym. The candidate, now looking a little more composed, takes the stage again... "Okay, where were we? Oh, that’s right - question time! Who's next?" This time, a different boy raises his hand, though a bit more cautiously... The senator nods at him, hoping for a friendlier question this time, "Yes, you in the blue shirt! What’s your name?" The boy stands up nervously, "Um, my name is Larry." "Great to meet you, Larry," the candidate says with a rehearsed grin, "What’s your question?" Larry takes a deep breath and says, "I have two questions... " "First - Why did the recess bell go off twenty minutes early?... " "And second... " "What happened to Kenneth?"
